Sketch N Scrap Card Sketch #160

Hi everyone!  There's a fantastic new card sketch up on the Sketch N Scrap blog today, designed by Lisa Hidy:
Isn't that a great design?  I took a literal approach to Lisa's sketch with the adorable snowman and decided to create a winter greetings card:
When I saw this sketch I thought of the Simple Stories Sub Zero line that I have. Living in Florida I don't get many chances to use the cute wintery papers and embellishments.  I thought this card will be good to send to a family member or friend living up north where it's shorts & flip flops weather in December!

Come join us at Sketch N Scrap and show us what you can do with this sketch! Hope to see you there!

Sketch N Scrap Layout Sketch Challenge #191

Hello everybody! There's a brand new sketch up on the Sketch N Scrap blog today designed by Heather Hall:
What a versatile sketch, I love it! Here's my take on it:

I'm not one to scrap holidays, even Christmas, I'm not sure why.  As you can see, these pictures are 12 years old! LOL  I often find that manufacturers go theme-y overboard in the holiday designs and I'm generally not into juvenile looking patterns.  I prefer patterns such as plaids, stripes, florals, etc. When I purchased Pinkfresh Studios warehouse box last year, there was quite a bit of Christmas products that I really liked!  I used them here with some Twill and Storm Bazzill cardstocks.  My favorite embellishments in the box were the chipboard stickers and wood buttons:

I've scrapped Christmas layouts sporadically over the years, time to go back in my albums & see what other years I can catch up on, now that I'm in the Christmas spirit!  Happy Holidays to you and yours, and hope you come join us at Sketch N Scrap. Show us what you can do with this sketch!
